Privacy Policy

Save to Notion does not collect personal data on our servers unless you create an account or choose to use a feature that requires our online services.

The extension processes the information needed to save content to Notion. Most extension data is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to Save to Notion.

Last updated: 11 August 2026.

Information the extension handles

When you use the extension, it may process webpage content, selected text, page details, files, your extension settings, and information from the Notion workspace you connect. This information is used only to provide the feature you request, such as preparing and saving content to Notion.

This information may be stored locally in your browser so the extension can remember your settings and work correctly. Local data is removed when you clear the extension's data or uninstall the extension.

If you create an account

We collect the account information needed to sign you in and provide account features, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status, and account settings.

We may also collect limited usage data to understand how you use the extension and which features we should work on first. This may include feature interactions and basic technical reliability information. Usage analytics do not include webpage addresses, saved content, selected text, files, or content from your Notion workspace.

How we use and store information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the extension.
  • Authenticate your account and manage your subscription.
  • Respond to support requests and protect the service.
  • Understand feature usage and reliability.

Account and service data is kept only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. You can request deletion of your account and associated Save to Notion data.

Data sent between the extension, Notion, and our online services is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your data. We share only the information needed to provide the extension with service providers acting on our behalf:

  • Notion, to access the workspace you connect and save content you choose.
  • AWS Cognito and AWS services, for authentication and service infrastructure.
  • PostHog, for limited product usage analytics and feature configuration.
  • Stripe, for payment and subscription processing.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger or acquisition where the same privacy protections continue to apply.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

We certify that:

  • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside the approved use cases described in the Chrome Web Store Limited Use requirements.
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core functionality.
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Your choices

You can clear locally stored extension data through your browser, uninstall the extension, or delete your Save to Notion account. For questions or requests to access or delete your data, contact hello@savetonotion.so.
